Suggested modifications to exercise 4B
*Sentences will begin with iw or an adjective, and be simple statements of fact, not wishes, desires,etc.

1. How beautiful is this your house! See it is in my sight (lit. face) like heaven !

Two non-verbal sentences. First sentence has a (stressed) adjectival predicate. The suffix .wy on the adjective gives exclamatory force. The subject is nominal, pr=k pn(this your house); the suffix pronoun taking precedence over the demonstrative pronoun in being closest to the noun. The second sentence begins with mk and has an adverbial predicate.
 
2. The moon rejoices when the sun is in his horizon.
 
iw Htp ra m anx hrw nb
Verbal sentence beginning with the particle iw. Subject is nominal, ra (sun). Verb is intransitive. The predicate includes two adverbial phrases, m anx and hrw nb.
 
3. See, you are with me as a maid-servant.
mk Tn Hna=i m bAk.t
Non-verbal sentence with adverbial predicate. Subject is pronominal,Tn (you).
 
4. She is more beautiful than her daughter.
nfr sy r zA.t=s
Sentence with adjectival predicate. Subject is pronominal, sy (she). The adverbial phrase (Preposition+noun) modifies nfr, 'beautiful'.
 
5. Evil is on every side (lit road).

6. We stand up and speak to our good lord.

7. Every man is in joy when he (lit. they) hear it.
