The only homonym I can find suggests a possible connection with Abydos. How reliable Budge's definitions are I couldn't venture to guess. Uses of "pqr" in texts are referenced at http://aaew.bbaw.de/tla/servlet/GetWcnDetails?u=guest&f=0&l=0&wn=62720&db=0 Perhaps the context of these references may provide some further clue. Good luck. I presume the word you are looking for is pqrw (written in several ways), which according to Hannig would be a plant, hypothetically *Kaelberkropf, Chaerophyllum spec., used in oils or salves. I think the English name is chervil. Hi; I have read some unreferenced secondary and popular descriptions of a "senet house" as a kind of tavern. But, I have been unable to find a documented term for such a thing in original sources. Can anyone help me separate the facts from fancy on this phrase? Best wishes, Bob ==============================================================================
