On something of a whim, I started looking into the word for  
"scorpion", though I haven't immediately turned up a transcription of  
an AE word.  (I know the goddess Sekert is supposed to be  
_associated_ with scorpions, but I gather her name itself has its own  
non-scorpionish etymology).

I did come up with some Coptic words for "scorpion" from the online  
Crum dictionary <http://www.metalog.org/files/crum.html>: one roughly  
"ouoohe" (<http://www.metalog.org/files/crum/509.gif>), and another  
roughly "chle" (<http://www.metalog.org/files/crum/810.gif>).

Hopefully, I haven't mangled the Coptic transliterations there too  
badly .... :/

Anyway, does anyone know if either Coptic form is related to a known  
earlier AE form?

The text we are using is up in the files at GlyphStudy as well as on 
AELTranslation, and has been sent out on GlyphStudy.

Remember we stick to our same formatting, but we will be sending work to 
the AEL Translation list on YahooGroups.

Anybody else who is interested in doing translations with us must send 
me a first and last name and current email address so I can add you to 
the paperwork for the group and send you an invite
to join AEL Translation

This time there will be no individual assignments and everyone will do

so that means send three emails to the list for June 1
and three emails to the list for June 8.

It may seem cumbersome, but it allows me to do the collations using my
