I'll forward her any offlist reactions. You're right, the writing is wonderfully clear and detailed, even if tiny bits are hard to see in some photos. I've been able to read all the glyphs from the start of the dedication right around to Iqr's name, but one or two glyphs gave me some difficulty. Take a look at this photo: http://www.excavacionegipto.com/diario/2008/2-19/fotos/Fig01.jpg My reading of these glyphs is: pri.t-xrw [xA] m sw? t Hnq.t a voice offering of 1000 [...] bread and beer I assume the band of cloth is covering M12, the glyph for xA. We have the m of predication, so it makes sense for there to be a number before it. But then what is the glyph immediately after m that looks like sw? I don't recognise that thing on the top of it. Then we have t and Hnq.t, and I assume that next glyph is a variant of X4 being used as a determinative. Let me know what you think. If people are interested I can post the MdC of the whole band. The one long side can be seen best on several photos, although not the beginning words ; that text is continued on a short side as you say, but Iqer's name at the end is alas in the dark. >I assume the band of cloth is covering M12, the glyph for xA. I don't recognise that thing on the top of it. **There are many signs in the text that are variations or that supplant a similar looking sign. In this case the sw-like sign is surely a variant of M12, hence the 'crescent' top. So m and xA are reversed. There is no room for a sign under the band IMO. >Then we have t and Hnq.t, and I assume that next glyph is a variant of X4 >being used as a determinative. **Yes.
