Greetings,

Just wanted to let the AEL list know that we are starting a new 
hieroglyphs study section over on GlyphStudy.

For the last two sections, 2005 and 2007 we have used Allen's Middle 
Egyptian, but we've decided to start our 2008 section with one of the 
fundamentals books before moving the group into Allen. It might be 
Collier and Manley, or it might be another similar introductory book.

So if you are interested in learning to read hieroglyphs, now's your 
chance.

Send your first and last name (you may opt for an alias onlist, if you 
let me know)
and a current email address directly to Karen ,

and I will add you to the study section and send you an invitation to 
join GlyphStudy.

You will be able to follow the list discussion and get the details about 
how we do things as we progress.

The collations for the 2005 group are still posted here on AEL as well 
as GlyphStudy, but we have taken the 2007 group to GlyphStudy only.

When the 2005 group finishes--soon they are in 24 of 25 lessons, we hope 
to start a translation group and we will share our collations here for 
anyone who might be interested, and I will also announce any readings 
well in advance.
