The twonotes.com domain name is no longer owned by anyone. I tried the internet archive "wayback machine" at http://www.archive.org/web/web.php and searched your link there and it could not be found. Hopefully someone here will be able to find another source for you. But at over 19 megabytes in size I seriously suggest you download it with a right-click and "save link as". The link to use in the future is www.sandnotes.com/hg/dictionary.pdf It is more than a simple reformatting of Faulkner, though Faulkner's words make up most of it. Mark Vygus contributed some words as well, and I am making a few small editorial changes. The starting point was Vygus' wordlist, not Faulkner's dictionary. There is a sophisticated relational database behind this project which I hope to take in some new directions. -Paul Dickson ============================================================================== Date: Thu, 27 Dec 2007 14:31:51 -0500 From: Paul To: Ancient Egyptian Language List Subject: Re: AEL Dictionary of Middle Egyptian Sorry for all the confusion about the dictionary. Due to a mail snafu when my main ISP was bought out, I never got the notification that my domain name was expiring, and a name shark outfit snapped it up. Temporarily I used twonotes.us, but going forward it will be www.sandnotes.com and I shouldn't miss the expiration notices now, as the new ISP is much more reliable. (this is my home ISP I am talking about, not the one that actually hosts www.sandnotes.com, with which I am quite happy. The twonotes.us name will continue to work for some months, as there seems to be no way to *change* a domain name, just to create a new one and wait for the old one to expire! For now both names will get you to the same place. Btw, I am still slowly working on it, filling in missing glyphs. It is a tedious process. -Paul Dickson ==============================================================================
